The Super Plus Tampons Box and a note from T.O.T.M

Review

T.O.T.M sent me out samples to use for this review and everything arrived discreetly packaged.
In my package I received a little zipped toiletry bag that would be really handy to keep in your handbag with your feminine care products in which would be great for me as on a couple of occasions I've emptied out my bag looking for something when I've been in front of people and had a couple of yellow tampons packets just leisurely sitting there so if your anything like me this little bag would be super handy, I also received a box of super plus tampons and a range of different ultra thin pads and panty liners.
I used both the pads and the tampons when my monthly visit came and found the tampons are good for a heavy blood flow but the pads aren't sufficient enough to cope with a heavier period and after researching their website I didn't find any larger or more sustainable pads.
Both products felt really soft and a lot nicer to use than the regular supermarket brands.
The tampons were very easy to insert and pull out and had no problems what so ever using them.
I couldn't use the pads at first as mentioned above they weren't practical for my period as I do tend to have a heavy blood flow but used these towards the end of my period they stuck very well without moving around and felt very soft on my skin, there were sufficient enough for what I needed but only towards the end of my period.
I would really consider signing up for a plan with T.O.T.M but only if they introduce bigger and thicker pads as it wouldn't benefit me having a delivery from them and still have to but pads from the supermarket but I think this service would be great for a lot of women.
I am not a massive eco-friendly freak but if you are T.O.T.M is the right service for you offering products that are perfume, rayon and viscose free which is a really good thing for us are the fibres in rayon and viscose are highly absorbent and are potentially dangerous as these fibres stick to your vaginal wall when the tampon is removed. The fibres left behind contain dioxins and synthetics that can create a favourable environment for the growth of bacteria that cause TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome)
They don't use chlorine, dioxin or cellulose pulp (this is obtained from felling trees in the rainforest) in any of their products.
Products are also hypoallergenic (this reduces risks of allergy), 95% biodegradable and dissolve naturally in landfills.
This service may not suit me but I think for the natural products you receive the price is very reasonable and having the convenience of the products arriving each month before mother nature makes her appearance would suit a lot of other women.
